I'm Travis Pendley, the owner of CSD Audio. My approach to mobile electronics may be a little different than most other car audio stores. My business is small, independent and designed to provide you a personalized experience.
Think of me not as a retailer, but as a broker. The needs of my customers are as different as the vehicles they drive. For every person I help, I start from scratch, assessing their needs, tastes and desires. I have access to dozens of manufacturers and work hard to acquire the products that will exceed their expectations while maximizing performance and value. I will strive to do the same for you.

I know there are a lot of choices in the Salt Lake Valley when it comes to upgrading your car stereo, security or video system.
The big box stores stack 'em deep and sell 'em cheap, but may not have the expertise needed to truly handle all your needs.

Everyone loves great music. While we may not all agree on what 'great music' is, we can all identify with the emotional response our favorite music provides. No matter your musical taste, it's always more enjoyable when played back through great audio equipment. Let's face it, we all spend way too much time cooped up in the interior of a car to settle for bad sound. From simple speaker upgrades to thorough acoustical design and installation, I can provide you a better musical experience in your vehicle.
Hear what you've been missing
The best way to make a substantial improvement to the performance of your vehicle's audio system is to add a subwoofer. In most cases, the speakers that are installed from the factory are simply too small and aren't physically capable of playing the lowest tones found in all recorded music. Adding a dedicated subwoofer will give more depth and impact to your music. The rest of your speakers will get to play louder and cleaner as well!
Redefining the perception of bass
Traditionally, the idea of having a subwoofer conjures up images of loud, chest thumping, ground pounding bass with a trunk full of speakers and amplifiers. It can be a lot of fun to experience, but it may not always be what you're looking for. CSD Audio can give you that extra low frequency performance; tight and accurate bass that compliments the rest of your audio system without overwhelming it. I can also custom fabricate subwoofer enclosures behind panels, under the floor or any number of other out of the way locations so you can gain all the extra performance without giving up your valuable cargo space. The picture to the left is the trunk of my Audi A6. This system had to large 12" woofers and nearly 3,000 watts of power from 5 amplifiers. The subwoofers were built into the quarter panels and the amplifiers were stashed on the rear package tray and under the trunk floor. Acoustically, the automobile is a very difficult place to achieve great sound reproduction. The speakers are seldom placed in ideal locations, the glass, the seats, the dash, the road noise... they all impede the quest for great sound. I've spent years developing the skills and the knowledge to overcome these obstacles to provide my customers with better quality music than they thought could be possible in an automobile.

Factory iPod Integration
Now you can take all your music with you, wherever you drive. CSD Audio has direct connect iPod & iPhone solutions for almost all cars on the road today... even the cars that many of the 'other guys' say can't be done! Connect your iPod directly to your factory in-dash radio to get crystal clear digital sound, charging of your device, and even control of your iPod using the buttons on your in-dash and steering wheel controls. (if equipped) Some makes and models will even display artist and track information on the factory radio display.
Aftermarket head units with iPod control
With an upgraded in-dash receiver from CSD Audio, you'll get total flexibility with your iPod connection. Search the content on your iPod quickly and easily from your dash while charging the device via USB connection. You get a direct digital connection to your ipod for crystal clear, quality sound.
USB & SD
Some of our head unit options will allow you to play MP3, WMA, and AAC files from USB flash drives and/or SD cards. It's an inexpensive and easy way to take all your music with you.
Auxiliary Inputs
An auxiliary input comes standard on most aftermarket head units and can be added to many factory in-dash radios to give you direct connection of your Zune or other MP3 players. You don't need to have an iPod to listen to all your music in your vehicle!
